We are currently recruiting for the following positions for our Early Start Team in Bundaberg, in conjunction with our partnership with NDIS: 

Administration Officer - Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Bundaberg

BUSHkids is looking for an Administration Officer who will work to support a transdisciplinary team providing services to families with children aged 0-6 years with developmental delay or disability.

This position provides administrative support to the organisation to ensure the operations of the Bundaberg ECEI office proceed in a smooth and efficient manner. 

The role is a temporary full-time position.

Salary up to $55,000 p.a. dependent upon experience.

In the role of an Administration Officer at BUSHkids you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide administrative support to the organisation to ensure the operations of Bundaberg ECEI office proceed in a smooth and efficient manner.
  • As the receptionist, promote a welcoming and supportive environment, to ensure that all who call, or visit the offices, feel valued and appreciated.

Desired requirement for this role:

  • Relevant experience in a comparable role

Other requirements:

  • Working with Children Blue Card – Positive Notice
  • Current C Class Queensland Drivers Licence

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated excellent organisation skills including strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high level written and spoken communication skills
  • Detailed minute taking, including creating agendas
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, including scheduling meetings, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent typing skills with ability for transcription, writing and word processing skills
  • Significant experience in an administration role
  • Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks.

Occupational Therapist - Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Bundaberg

Salary range: $62,831 - $82,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience

We are looking for a Occupational Therapist who will work as part of a transdisciplinary team in a key worker model providing services to families with children aged 0-6 years with developmental delay or disability.

The role can be full-time or part-time capacity.

In the role of an ECEI Occupational Therapist at BUSHkids you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be responsible for assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement related to the provision of the scope of the incumbent’s discipline.
  • Develop goals and plans with every client inclusive of other team members involved in the care and management of that client in accordance with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach
  • Provide care when and where it best meets the clients’ needs including on site, at home and in the community.

Mandatory requirements for this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy; plus significant relevant professional experience.
  • Registration and/or memberships relevant to qualification.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in working in early childhood education, intervention or other relevant work experience

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Clinical Practice

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with children with developmental delay or disability with a focus on early intervention and family centred practice

Communication/Team Participation 

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary for good working relationships and client care
  • Demonstrated ability to function as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.

Leadership/Work Unit Management

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development and ability to share knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision and to appropriately manage time and workload
